I agree with the fustration of 2 mil vinyl w/premask. I would like the production decision makers to join us in the field installing over compound curves like the nose bubble the smaller busses at transportation companies.

Another isssues is with matching the overlapped graphics, one has to remove about 2" of premask along each edge to see the alignments.

I have decided to ask on all orders what the construction of the graphics will be that I receive, if premasked there will be a 15% increase of the order.

Full car wrap, 180 with liquid laminate, and premask. Which of these doesn't belong?

Lately, we've been receiving wraps that are fully premasked. And not the digital films with low tack but the full stickem SCPS-2 High Tack mask. We've calculated an aggravation factor of 8 with roughly an hour of added install time to work with this type of material. My installers are increasingly agitated.

I am considering a structure that includes charge-back fees: one for masking a wrap and another for using a 2mil product with liquid lam. We haven't blown out a wrap yet with the flimsy product but I think this is a 'when' not an 'if' scenario. Anyone else with ideas or comments?

As an added bonus, it seems many producers are now shipping us full sheets of un-cut graphics. Makes the packaging easier on the producer but all the separation work is now left to the installer at 4:30am on Wednesday with a single 40 watt bulb in a wash bay...

Looking forward to seeing everyone in New Orleans.

I have a potential one-off project wrap in Albuquerque and need an installer. Has to be local, not enough in the job to merit a jump from out of state.

Any contacts out there?

We keep American Express company credit cards in all our vehicles. We receive 3% back on every gas purchase (except if purchased at Costco). Well worth it. Especially now!

advantages is it won't damage the paint surface(We use Heat, steam for window films)Disadvantage it is slow & takes more time unless ou have a lot of steam. Most of films that leave adhesive after installs (the cheaper stuff)the steam will actually help the glue stay to the graphic film. (of course if it's sun baked on thats a whole new subject. good Luck Phil
